Haman feels eyes on her back before she sees them, turning around quickly, still a bit on edge. But when she turned she found that she had no idea who this young woman (?) was.
"Can I help you?" She stood from from where she was crouched beside Mineva, despite being little taller than five foot four, Haman always had a way of looking powerful. Maybe it was the way she carried herself, the weight of her title, the nobility of it, was a hard thing to hide when you have lived with it long enough.
So alright Haman could infer at least two things about this woman already: she was smart enough to do her homework, and she wanted something. Why did people always have to want something from her? It undermined her who sense of trust, although Haman rarely put her trust in anyone who didn't work for her already, and even then...
Haman folded her arms over her chest and waited with a look on her face that almost screamed 'get on with it, or go away' "And now you've said it."
Haman peaked an eyebrow. "I don't know who you are, who you work for or what you want from me. If you want to 'chat' you could start with that." Anyone who went out of their way to 'get to know' the Regent, surely had a motive.
My name is Yui Sendou, I work for myself, and I want to know you. You're a very famous woman, and it's not every day a highschool student gets to spend time with the leader of a nation.
I just feel I'd be missing out if I didn't get to know you, that's all.
"There now, you see, that's how you begin a conversation." Haman uncrossed her arms, visibly relaxing, but only sightly. "How old are you then, Yui Sendou? Are you from Earth or the colonies?"
"Gambling? Seems like a strange hobby for a 19 yeah old to have." But who was Haman to judge? She was only two years Yui's senior after all. "But then, around here, it's probably a rather tame way to pass the time." Haman kind of rolled her eyes, in a way that expressed how much she felt she was 'roughing it' just being here.
"Are you a pilot then? Seems like we have an exceptionally high number of pilots much younger than you, and I would be glad to see a few more adults out there."
"True strength in battle comes from ability to make strategies, and then to lead your men upon them." Which was Haman's way of complimenting her. "Not just the stats of your mechs. Heart goes a long way." It was one thing to be a pilot, and another to be a leader. It had taken Haman years to learn the difference.
"Fond? No. But it's where I must be right now." She looked over at Mineva for a moment, who was laughing to herself as she played. For her sake.
No, you're here for your own desires
Haman's eyes, for a moment, look up, beyond Yui's head, as if she heard a sound. But then seeing there was nothing, she shook her head slightly.. I must be tried... "I much prefer my apartments on Axis, but at least I was given a room to myself here."
"Every political gesture is multifaceted. There are many reasons for my-our presents on the Chalice. I had hoped to find a strong ally with the Chalice, and truth be told, Zeon has benefited greatly for our... mutual understanding." Haman would never dare say why she had really come here, to anyone, she was even frightened to admit it to herself. But she could hear the whispers of truth in the back of her mind.

Almost definitely.
...But that's not why I'm here. I just wanted to say hello, Regent Karn.

They're not that powerful, compared to most of the other machines aboard, but they'll do.
I take it you aren't very fond of this place?
