What's "tempting" you is your instincts. They're telling you that a meaningless death won't accomplish anything.

Instinct is a powerful tool. You'd be smart to not ignore it.

Death... it wouldn't be meaningless. It might be pointless, but it wouldn't be meaningless.

It hardly matters though. I will die when Baphomet demands it, whether I choose to obey and take my own life or not.
