(Seiren has her halberd and knife laying on the ground and has her eyes closed in thought. She opens them and makes small cuts on each of the weapons. It is then that you see each weapon is marred with cuts. What in the world could they all mean.?)

(After the battle, Seiren is laying under her tree in the arboretum stretching. She inhales

Hana and Sora didn't even rate back when you were... training them?

[Laura's looking a little tired after the fight and cleanup, but mostly quietly satisfied and a little amused.]

[minorbeat]

(Seiren smiles a little.)

Well, part of that is I fought on foot for several years before I got into Ellen. I'm trained to be able to take care of things like that. The other part was that they weren't allowed to strike back. The idea of that part of training was to hone reflexes and defensive skills. I'm going to start training them in offensive skills soon though. I'm waiting on Himesaki's decision before I do anything now though.

Maybe you could show me a thing or two, some time.

[Laura sits down by Seiren, adjusting her skirt.]

(Seiren sighs heavily.)

...Himesaki is in doubt about her purpose. She seemed quite emotional about it and I was afraid that if she kept fighting with all this doubt she might destroy herself. So I proposed the idea of her going back to Fairy Park, and possibly retiring and going back to her old life. I do not wish to see it come to that but...It is better than her having a breakdown and possibly dying for it. I said it was her decision in the end. I am now waiting for her answer.

I see.

You know... it sounds to me like a good sign that she's able to talk to you about that. And whatever she decides, taking the chance to check in with her family and friends back home probably won't hurt.

Do you really think that - about it being her decision? I mean - if she stays, do you think it'll be okay?

[minorbeat]

I agree. It might help all of us to take some time at Fairy Park. I'm sure a lot of people would enjoy just having some down time to relax and have fun.

I do. She needs a purpose Laura and I can't give her that. Fighting without a purpose leaves you empty inside. I have experience with that before I came on the Chalice. If she continues to fight without a purpose she will just be hurting herself.

Still - just knowing that you think she'll be able to fight once she has a purpose might be good for her.

And I'd like a chance to spend some time at the Park. I only got to see it for a couple of hours in the evening when the Chalice was due to depart.

[minorbeat]

I implied it when I spoke to her. I'm not the best at pep talks and I didn't want her to make her decision simply based on us. It has to be a purpose that she herself wants.

(Seiren rubs her neck nervously.)

I-If you'd like, I could show you around if we end up going. I know a few good attractions and restraunts. And as a PreDesu, I could get us some perks...That is only if you'd like to. You don't have to.

(Seiren looks away nervously.)

'Why am I acting this way? I've never acted like this before. These feelings are really confusing me.'

That sounds lovely, Seiren!

[Laura notices her awkwardness - and completely misinterprets it, patting the older woman soothingly on the back with an encouraging smile.]

You can show me around the Park, and I'll show you how to have have fun on the rides, okay? Careful, though. I can be a little bloodthirsty on the bumper cars.

[minorbeat]

(Seiren blushes a deep red and an honest but shy smile appears on her lips.)

Then it is settled. The next time we go to Fairy Park I will show you everything I can. You will get the full Fairy Park experience and then some with the ace of the project on your side.

[Awww, Seiren wants to have fun at the Park but needs a companion to give her an excuse! It's adorable. Laura is completely satisfied that this is the explanation.]
