[[And thanks to things moving at the speed of the plot, sometime after the Chalice has gotten back within the atmosphere, Mark receives a message.]]

[[For the most part, this is reading the message, kind of muttering it aloud.]]

To the hero of Gaia. Thanks to your efforts defending us, and everything else you'd done in order to get us the bioluminescent sample to us, we're finally having a breakthrough. However, we're running a little thin on our defences. It's not the Federation or Zeon this time, but, different sorts of... aliens, and some other factions.

While we're certain that they're not after the sample specifically, they're still a threat, and, you are unfortunately among the small number of people we can turn to for help.

We would greatly appreciate it if you could return to Gaia and help us.

[[Some time after reading that message, Mark has started gathering up what few things from his room with Julia and requisitioned a shuttle to take him and his Gundam back into space. Ironic timing to be sure.]]

[[Mark puts a message out to the Chalice crew]]
Hey everyone. I'm... going to be leaving the Chalice. Probably for a good long while. While it's nothing against you guys, it's just... well... I think I need some time away to think about some things. And Gaia needs my help again. Sounds like an alien problem

I know that this ship can't keep going back and forth into space all willy-nilly so, think it might be better if I just dispatch myself out there to help out.

I'm not leaving right away but... soon.
