[The Chalice has since left the LS Cluster, and a certain Irgelion's still onboard, looking out at the stars with a weak smile on her face.]

Couldn't take DSSD up on their offer.  Not yet... especially not after having to save my home from Thaumata.  It's a soldier's life for me.  At least for a little while longer.

It's a shame you can't just pursue your dream without worrying about keeping it safe...

...but I'm glad to have you still here, Julia. And I'm glad Christine, and your home, are safe.

The dream... the dream can wait. Lots of people have had to put things on hold because of the world we live in. No reason I should be an exception.

No. And that's a shame. Another thing to try to make a little better, if we can.

I can't believe Thaumata were willing go go so far. At least they got a bloody nose out of it... or more, I hope.

...How's she taking it? How are you taking it?

Christine's...

... Well, she's more angry than anything else. Her bodyguard was like family to her... and the fact he'd do so much to her just to try to convince her to hate me again's blown up in his face.

As for me... if it weren't so serious I'd almost find it funny.

For being so anti-alien, Thaumata has Bairoft Girylel, an Irgelion ace in their ranks... and they're even reviving Irgelion technology to use against us.

I guess their kind of thinking goes hand in hand with an inferiority complex. If everything Irgelion scares them so much, it must be the best stuff going, right?

You and her... you're going to be all right?
