[With the White Chalice finally in space, Michelle is walking around the observation deck. After following the curve of the bubble keeping the atmosphere in, her gaze falls on the sights outside the ship. The endless blackness interrupted by dots of light, the rocks and pieces of manmade metal just slowly gliding around and above all the tiny, ( Read more... )

[Michelle is going to find a familiar person in the deck. Samus has not turned to her, however, and is simply standing there, looking at the stars with an indecipherable calm expression]

[Moves over to join the alien woman, standing quietly next to her for a bit.]

I wouldn't have expected to see you enjoying the view out here.

Why not?

These may not be the same stars I know, but they sing nonetheless. The vast reaches of space are beautiful and humbling.

You just seem like you're used to space.

And, well, you just don't seem like anything ever really affects you.

I am. It is my second home, in many ways.

[She directs a short look at Michelle at the second part. Damn this woman and her lack of facial expressions. Was that slight amusement?]

From my perspective, most of the inhabitants of this ship rather let their judgement be clouded far too often.

People don't usually gaze out into their home like that, it tends to be less interesting to them.

[Now it was Michelle's turn to look amused, though it wasn't that pronounced.]

I haven't been here enough to tell, but the crew does seem rather emotional. At least much of it.

And they lose much for it.

[To the second part, a nod]

Some are emotional, some are reckless, some are inexperienced, some are dangerous to the others... this is a very unique crew.

[Did that woman actually just ignore that she was one of the most unique people around? Or did she just not realize it?]

Having as much self-control as you is pretty unique as well, you know.

Still, I've mostly met good people here.

I know. [Oh, she realizes. She knows she's a pretty big deal, and she has a list of titles as big as your average royal house. But she doesn't really care to lord it around]

Yes, most are good people. Do keep an eye out for the problematic elements, however.

Could you give me some advice on who to look out for then? Other than tiny, white robots. I've heard about that one before.

Luger Amwulf. He is petty, greedy, agressive, and according to his medical file the only reason he is alive is that several dozen illnesses have established a full ecosystem in his body. He enjoys causing bother and laughing at his victims.

Char Aznable. He has the heart of a traitor. The one reason he remains alive is that Zeon would start full offensive if he disappeared.

Alellujah Haptism. Has a double personality. His second personality is a violent, unbalanced vandal.

That's disgusting, why isn't he under quarantine? Sounds like he's a biohazard.

And I guess the news didn't paint a very accurate picture of the Red Comet then. He was supposed to the honorable, good Zeke according to them.

You may have noticed this is not a very organized outfit. And he should not be contagious unless he bites you or otherwise has any fluid contact with you. [The way she says it, this is not a hypothetical. Did Luger seriously bite someone?]

And he is not entirely evil. But he has a hole in his heart, and his alliegance is not firm. It is not a good combination.

So I just need to avoid having the incredibly sick guy bite me and keep him on a leash so he doesn't bite anybody else? Really, why isn't he locked up in a hospital somewhere?

Oh, well, I'm pretty sure I can avoid getting bitten, at least.

I think I'll just stay away from those three, seems easier than to try and work out their issues.
