[Well, this is a rare sight. Sumeragi more often than not keeps her head out of Chalice business and focuses on other things, but today is the exception, especially following Friday's battle.]
I've taken the time to discuss with Miss Cross about what this "Asgard Squadron" is, along with double-checking all the records that Veda has. I'll also try to keep this short because it's times like this that all I want is a drink.
The implications of what we saw out there are unfortunately very serious. The GN Drives took twenty years to create and the process to make them could only be done in the presence of a massive gravity well. The closest one around is Jupiter, and between the Jupiter Empire, the Jovians, and Celestial Being itself I can't see how someone would be able to pull off repeating their creation without someone catching wind of it.
Most serious though is the fact that the details for making a GN Drive is one of Celestial Being's most tightly guarded secrets... and what those Gundams used weren't genuine ones. They're close... and looking over the footage the performance is on the same level as ours, which proves someone who's not one of us got off with some of the formula but not all of it. And worst of all is that according to the medical reports from the survivors of Nena's attack on the wedding, in high concentrations the particles can even interfere with medical treatment. There are going to be people there disfigured for life because of her.
And in the meantime there's Codex Regius, the people that Project Midgard was intended to fight. Nadia described them as a group dedicated to keeping mankind stuck here on Earth, so we can't take our "violent ways" any further. If it were my guess, I'd say that Codex Regius is using the reputation of Celestial Being as interventionists to achieve their objectives. Nadia said they've already toppled Project Midgard, and they were probably trying to form an alliance with us so they could deprive Nadia of the only ally she has left.
... At any rate, there's not much we can do right now. We are taking steps to safeguard all the other data that might be used against us, though. And hopefully the next time those pilots show up again we can settle this.
