[Nicolai is already there, with a small briefcase waiting by his side.]
Ah, my apologies. I think I explained before that I know quite many Blackwells and Blackmores, and the names tend to blend sometimes.
In any case... Since we talked like this last time, you fought the Id Beasts again. In space, even. What do you think about that battle? Don't you find it worrying they made an appearance so far away from Earth?
It's possible that the stronger fragments of Ahriman's Id take longer to awaken... Which would mean that the Id Beasts we encounter will only get stronger over time.
But not all is bad news. If I heard correctly, you managed to use the Sunlit Hero mode in that battle. Does it work reliably now?
Well...sort of. I mean, it works as it's supposed to and all, but it still bleeds off power faster than I'd like. In that particular fight I only used it to kick one of the monsters into a colony drop.
...There are some mages aboard from the TSAB though, and they've got material that should help. I'm most of the way through making an effective regulator based off of their Devices. That should give it proper control, not just some dumb super mode thing.
Don't underestimate the dumb super mode thing, Mr Blackwell. It might still be imperfect, but it's the thing that made sure no more human lives have been lost in the last attack of these monsters!
It's great to hear that the mages are helping you improve the Zweilicht, though. And that reminds me... Did you bring the combat data, as I asked?
No, no, I was just wondering. I suppose they might have given us some trouble, but they haven't bothered to announce themselves if they have...pretty odd, honestly. I mean most everyone who's out to get us has done so with flags proudly raised...I wonder why that could be...
Oh! I forgot to ask you this last time, but we're going to be comparitively close to the doctor's grave soon...I figure I should spruce it up, make it all proper. Do you remember when he was born, by any chance? I mean, I know he had to be around fifty, from that beard of his, but...well, an exact date would be nice, you know? Or at least a year...
I suppose their modus operandi might be very different from the other groups we faced. Keeping your enemy in the dark about your nature and goals can be a very powerful tool, Mr Blackwell.
And I can't say I remember this fact, unfortunately. Dr Reinhardt was very private about such things.
[Roads reaches to hand Nicolai the drive-and pulls it away at the last second again.]
Oh! Where did you two meet, by the way? I mean, if it's not too much trouble. You mentioned him moving around a lot last time we talked, so I figure it wasn't the house where I met him...
[Even if Nicolai's tone of voice doesn't show it, small hints in his body language show his annoyance at Roads' tricks.]
No, it was in Europe - the hills of Italy, in fact. I remember that area quite fondly... But why are you asking me about such things? I don't see why are they important to this discussion.
You know, my name is Blackwell, not Blackmore...
But yeah, we've got stuff to talk about. Why don't you start?

Took a hell of a lot of firepower to dispatch them that time, too...

[Roads takes a small USB drive out from his pocket, and starts to hand it over to Nicolai...only to pull it away at the last second.]
Actually...do you mind if I ask you some questions first? There are some things that have been bugging me...

Oh? And what might those things be, Mr Blackwell?

Though, there is one important thing. We found one of those weapons caches up in space. And in such an unexpected place, too...
