Deep Thought

(You find Fate in the rehearsal room for the band. In front of her are several sheets of music. She seems to be deep in thought. Soon, she releases a heavy sigh while pushing her hat down a bit to cover her eyes.)

What are we going to do without a drummer? We barely made it by without a guitarist...Will this really be the end of the Multiversals?

Hi, Fate!

(Yoshika came into the rehearsal room, a concerned look on her face as she overheard the last part of Fate's conversation.)

...Is something wrong?

Oh, Yoshika.

(Fate sighs a little.)

I was thinking about the band. Since Herb left with Epimetheus, we don't have a drummer anymore. I don't know what we can do about that...And I don't want to see the Multiversals disband like this.

[aceshighhealer]

Oh. (She remembered Herb. He'd gotten her a good deal on a particular item she'd requested some time ago.)

Well...I could try out! I haven't played many instruments in school, but I can learn. I'll do my best!

[lightning_1]

If you'd like to try we do have a drum set you can use over there.

(Fate motions to the drum set in the corner.)

Wow! It looks really nice.

(Yoshika goes to sit down, picking up the drumsticks nearby and almost starts banging away. She does strike a cymbal, though.)

[lightning_1]

(Fate just watches Yoshika to see if anything happens.)

[aceshighhealer]

(Yoshika starts striking the drums at a slow, steady 1-2-3 beat, a 1-2-3 beat before occasionally hitting the cymbals. Is she at least not wanting to make you cover your ears?)

[lightning_1]

(Fate is just listening. Yoshika doesn't make Fate want to cover her ears. She seems to be concentrating on Yoshika's playing and any changes in it.)

[aceshighhealer]

(One-two-three, one-two-three, a sudden chime from the cymbals and Yoshika speeds it up a bit, giving it a one-two-three, chime, one-two-three, chime! She's starting to get into the motions.)

(Fate smiles at that. She remains quite as she doesn't want to throw off Yoshika's groove. But she could tell Yoshika had a natural touch with the drums.)

(Yoshika continued the same pattern a few more minutes before finishing with three timed hits on the cymbals. And then she bowed respectfully at Fate. Even if she didn't get picked, she had fun!)

(Fate walks up to Yoshika with a smile.)

Yoshika, how would you feel about becoming the drummer for the band?

[aceshighhealer]

(Yoshika stares at Fate in appreciation, surprise and awe, managing a nod after feeling a smile cross her face.)

...I...I'd be honored, Fate! Thank you so much...!

I can't make any promises yet, I need to talk to the band and get their opinion first. But I will argue for you to join. I will tell you when I have a solid answer.

Okay! Thanks again, Fate. Even if I don't get to join the band, at least I got to spend time with you and found out I can play percussion~

(And Yoshika gives Fate a grateful hug a few seconds later.)
