[Devon is hanging around the practice. She's not a part of the drill obviously, but her very presence here betrays that there's something she's interested in.

The teacher, maybe? Nah, couldn't be...]

Do you intend on challenging my students?

I am a Shifter, not a Stratos pilot. Nor a Gundam Fighter.

That doesn't mean you can't put yourself up to a little bit of a challenge to test one's skill.

Unfortunatly for them, none of your students would be a challenge for me.

[Devon stares straight at the instructor. Is that a challenge?]

But of course not. Students in training wouldn't stand up to a Shifter at her best.

But it seems you have eyes for their instructor instead.

Don't you have students to teach? If you think they can handle themselves...

[Devon cracks her knuckles.]

I think they can take a break to watch their teacher in action.

[[Though, the handicap will be keeping the disguise up while fighting!]]

[Going to fight on an IS or on foot? It does not matter for Devon, either way she takes on a battle-ready, hunched stance.]

[[And Ms. Bruder takes a rather typical martial arts stance; one palm flat, the other clenched to a fist.

Of course, Schwarz doesn't qualify to legitimately fight in an IS... doin this on foot.]]

[Devon gives Schwarz no time to react. As soon as her opponent is in a fighting stance, she charges - and tries to simultaneously knee and headbutt the ninja at the same time.]

[[This is a ninja you're dealing with. A hand meets the knee to block, as her head bobs off to the side to narrowly avoid a strike to the head.

At this point, Schwarz keeps her head close to Devon's simply to avoid her seeing what she's doing, and from headbutting again.]]

[Yes, keep your head close Schwarz. See those eyes? This is the expression of extreme focus... but also calmness. Like if Devon was remotely controlling her own body in a fight, her own mind disattached.

Speaking of the body, the blocked leg kicks off to break the close position between them. And while Devon moves back, she delivers another kick with the other one!]

[[The woman's body is solid, it doesn't flinch when Devon kicks off, and the arm put up to block doesn't budge; like kicking against a wall that slides back a foot or so.

Taking a second, she dusts off the sleeves and is prepared again, and greets Devon with knives... throwing knives from who-knows-where! Of course, she's aware that this won't actually hurt Devon, but the students let out a gasp of shock.]]

[That's unexpected - but Devon will immediately react and dodge aside anyway. Still, her evasion is not perfect and some of the thrown knives nick her, resulting in small bleeding cuts.

Which is why it's only fair that she catches one of the knives from mid-air, spins it in hand and immediately throws. Back at you, Schwarz Bruder/Schwester/Person!]

[[Also unexpected! S/He was expecting some shifting to occur, not taking the hit. Well, perhaps he'll apologize for that bit later, for what little it's worth.

A pivot on one foot has her hand catch her own knife, then shifting and pivoting to the other will have the opposite hand coming in for a backhand.]]
