You'd be suprised what enemies the Chalice has to fight. They range from the standard rank-and-file soldiers to the most Lovecraftian of horrors. I'd suggest you throw reason to the side...

Think near-godlike beings that use black holes for weaponry. Oh, and if you respond to them, you get mind raped. PRIME nearly was lost to them because of how powerful their psychic links are.
