Well... about eleven years ago, a big Irgelion fleet tried to attack the Earth Sphere, wanting to take it over. They thought it'd be easy to conquer since Second Impact was still fresh in the past.

But, well... human ingenuity knows no bounds. The Irgelions were stonewalled by various forces in space, and one thing lead to another and they finally surrendered when my father ordered them to.
