satisfy your needs with just one stop

Life is full of people who try tell you what you are, who you can be, and what you should do. This is especially true when you purposefully stray from the pack or stick the triangular piece in the round hole, just to see what would happen. Someone is always there to remind you that you're doing it wrong, only because you're not doing it the way ( Read more... )

I sadly and grudgingly admit that my serious posts get more votes. A dear friend explained to me that people don't feel they're connecting with you when you use humor all the time, that you're keeping them at a distance, which of course is true. Honestly, I think the truth is that a lot of the folks in Idol are suffering from a pathological lack of a sense of humor, but whatevs, can't win 'em all.

I'm think I'm pretty good at both humor and serious writing. I enjoy writing humor more, however. It's quite difficult to write seriously and not come off as maudlin or attention whorish.

EVERYONE IN IDOL HAS THE GREATEST SENSE OF HUMOR EVER!!! I mean, did you see that one by that guy who said all the gays were going to hell? That was HILARIOUS!

How could I forget? I hope they don't forget him in the bloopers and outtakes reel of LJ Idol Season 4: the Motion Picture.

I can see Jeff Probst hosting this:

"On Fire, now you made a pretty controversial entry. You basically said that people who are different than you are totally wrong and they are going to burn. But then you did something unusual--you took it a step further and said that people would probably vote you out for speaking your mind. That seemed like a desperate ploy for votes in my mind. And it didn't work for you. You WERE voted out that week. That had to come as a shock. What were you feeling when you found out?"

Imagine the drama! I think there were at least 4 arguments in this weeks green room alone!

Indeed. All the passive-aggressive bullshit would finally come to a head. It'd be both horrifying and spectacular, like a really great fireworks display where someone accidentally gets his hand blown off.

Personally, I think any time we have a one-on-one argument in the GR, we should bring in Tina Turner to toss the participants in the Thunder Dome and duke it out.

Now, when men get to fighting, it happens here! And it finishes here! Two men enter; one man leaves.

I think it should be like Gladiator, just start having people go at each other with battle axes and broadswords.

I agree wholeheartedly re: pathological lack of a sense of humor. There's way too much drama and people take themselves much too seriously. Personally, I've just been in it for the lulz.
