As a former season ticketholder, I got this today (within the last 90 minutes). If you are in a position to take advantage of this, or know someone who would qualify, please act quickly for free ballet tickets. I'm going to see the show tomorrow night (paid tickets) and expect it to be great, so if you know of people who would appreciate the opportunity but wouldn't otherwise be able to afford to go, please share this with them.
Thanks to an anonymous donor,
Colorado Ballet has $100,000 in tickets
available to those in need in our community.
Dear Colorado Ballet Patron,
Thanks to an incredibly generous contribution from an anonymous donor, Colorado Ballet will offer $100,000 in free tickets to the Company's production of Beauty and the Beast. The primary goal of this contribution is to ensure that children and families who would like to see Beauty and the Beast, but because of economic circumstances, choose not to, will now have the opportunity.
Many of the tickets will be given to organizations currently being served by Colorado Ballet's Department of Education and Outreach, but tickets are also available to Colorado families. Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis to families and groups in the community that are not able to purchase tickets on their own.
We realize that many of you have already purchased tickets to this spectacular production and for that, we are truly appreciative. That being said, we invite you to share this message with the people in your life who typically are not able to attend Colorado Ballet productions. We encourage you to reach out to friends and neighbors who have been adversely affected by the current economic situation, and make them aware of this opportunity.
Those interested in redeeming donated tickets are asked to visit Colorado Ballet's Ticketing Office at 1278 Lincoln Street in Denver during office hours (see below) or call the ticketing office at 303-837-8888 x2. These tickets are not available online. Tickets are also available to those in need at the Ellie Caulkins Box Office, which opens two hours prior to each performance and is located at 14th and Curtis Streets in Denver.
On behalf of everyone here at Colorado Ballet, we would like to say thank you for your patronage and support.
Warm regards,
Gil Boggs and Denise Sanderson
"This kind of anonymous donation is a great demonstration of the spirit for giving and appreciation for the arts we have in our community. The gift will most certainly help future generations of dancers and audiences discover the beauty and grace of Colorado Ballet."
