Monday was my last day of work for the year. A good day; lunch out with a friend, a little free sew time for my own projects, a thank you card from my boss telling me how she'd enjoyed the year and was looking forward to the next one. So now I have begun on my long awaited vacation. I feel that yesterday didn't quite count, as I ended up going into the city anyway to do some shopping. But today I slept in, and am rotating amongst picking up the apt (slowly), surfing the net, and paying bills/setting up accounts/useful things. I have to admit, one of the things I am looking forward to is the time to do some relatively banal things (getting a new passport, getting my name change ironed out) without having to take the time from work. To be able to not try to cram it in first thing or last thing, just to download a podcast and bring a book and take the day to stand in line. It's a luxury, really.
Also, I look forward to playing a lot more WoW. :D
Big news from revstomp! After 8 years, an eternity of revising, raised hopes, jerky producers, and dogged persistence, revstomp's screenplay for Critical Hit! was optioned for production!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The company is doing it on a variable scale, basically outlining different approaches depending on how much money can be raised, but the contract does state that June next year, production starts.
This is huge.
All praise, props and big ups to reverendstompy, you deserve them.
