Sort of a continuation from the last post...

I had to share this comment by moerlin on neverwiser's post last night:

Looking back I see I misphrased, so thank you for clarifying on the fix-it fics! I meant post-canon, not fix-it, lol. So that was a mistake on my end! (I wasn't trying to say stories like DLS are fix-it, because obviously they are not!)

The comm WOULD focus on such stories, but also general fix-it fics, including ones where Reid does come back ("Raise up, Heart", your "Found", etc) because a lot of people don't like those, either, because they don't want to accept canon, whether we fixed it or not. And technically, even such fix-it fics ARE post-canon, so I feel they belong =]

Lol, I agree, 'permission' isn't really the word to use here. (Goodness, I need to wait til I'm fully awake before writing from now on, lol!) More.. giving them a heads up and making sure they know that this comm would not be to spite them or to compete with them in any way -- just another outlet is all.

I don't think Sarah or Mona will care, they've been cool through this. I think a few writers out there might turn their noses up at it at first, unfortunately, but this isn't for them, after all.

Fair point, and obviously that's totally your call as to which fics you'd welcome in the comm. It's not like a fix-it couldn't be posted at your comm and LuRe (and any number of other places).

I really can't imagine they'd think that. As you said -- it's another outlet. More outlets = a good thing!

Yeah, speaking from experience (most recently re: noah_who), don't bother yourself with what anyone else thinks! I know I speak for my fellow NW mods when I say we couldn't possibly care less that there are people who think NW is so MEAN AND AWFUL, OMG. (It's a source of great amusement, actually!) There's room out there for multiple comms, each with its own rules, focus, etc. And everyone can visit and post in whichever comms fit their needs. :)

Exactly. I'm not trying to make a place just for the misfits that don't work on LuRe.

Now I just need a name for this comm... lol!
