One of my very best friends is currently in Texas fighting for her daughters life, her daughter turned 1 on July 3rd.
She asked for everyone to spread her word, and get a prayer circuit going. While in the womb God did not complete her heart, she was born with mutiple complex heart wounds, holes, and "parts missing"
They are currently at the Texas Childrens Hospital, approved to see a world renound surgeon- Dr. Frasier.
I'm going to be posting updates as i receive them, Graceful cannot be forgotten, and needs support, thoughts, support, and most of all prayers.
This is what i received today:

After all our preparations, we finally met Dr. Fraser today, Grace's surgeon. We are grateful to be here and have his expertise. He discussed the three potential procedures to fix Graceful's heart. He said the one he would likely use is called the REV, but he doesn't know definitively until she is in surgery. That is the procedure we were "hoping" for, because it is supposed to give her more time in between surgeries. Yes, there will be more. Today was the first time we heard for certain that one surgery won't fix our little "Peanut" for good. She will need more as her body grows. He said her surgery will be long and complex, and this is coming from a surgeon who sees the most complex cases from around the world. 6-7 hours estimated in surgery. He also told us something we never heard before- if left untreated (that would never be an option for us) she would not live past elementary school age. For once I think someone was being totally honest with us about how serious her condition is. I think I am still in a fog, trying to absorb it all. Tomorrow I will go donate blood for her surgery. Wednesday we have her pre-operative appt. and bloodwork, and Thursday is the big day. Please pray for my girl to get rid of her cough and be content in "lock-down" in our room until then. KT --- This repair for all you medical folks would be considered a bi-ventricular repair and will require Graceful to be on a heart/lung machine for duration of surgery. The hard truth of today is more than one repair due to the monstrosity of the VSD(hole in heart) and location of great vessels in accordance to breastbone not allowing for a more simple repair. We were evaluated by anestesiologist to determine if Graceful is toO sick for surgery, the answer is no. If she was toO sick, we would have to endure at least 2 more waiting weeks!!! More updates soon thank you for prayers as we would be unable to function as parents in this critical time of stress, pray that Graceful doen't feel scared or abandoned by us in the next few days.MT
