Prayer for the Deserving
Dear Deity,
You know that I'm not much one for praying, but it occurs to me that there are a lot of good folks in a world of hurt right now, some of them close friends of mine. I would just like to humbly ask if You could see fit to lighten their burdens just a little...I sure would appreciate it. I hate seeing folks have to deal with pain, even though I know that we can't appreciate the good in our lives without fully understanding just how lousy it can get.
And, Deity, I don't want to pretend I know your Will, or want to tell You Your business, but if I could make an humble suggestion? Maybe - if You will it - You could take some of that whoop-ass that's been pouring down on my friends and dump it ALL on the heads of those little fucks with the big mouths who thinks they're running Iran and North Korea and let their people show them what they REALLY think?
