Apparently there’s downloadable content for Fallout 3 that just came out. But in order to get it, you have to spend Microsoft/Xbox Live! Points on it. These are basically meaningless points that make no sense and don’t easily convert to dollars in a coherent way (this is probably intentional). The problem is, the downloadable content only costs 800 points, but you can only buy the points (with a credit card) in chunks of 500 or 1000 points. So you’re going to be left over with 200 points for…?
Yeah. Be like me. Boycott this shit for PC. For XBOX Live? Eh, that’s a little different, as it’s a console and the whole Xbox infrastructure operates off of Xbox live points, so fine. But for the PC? Doesn’t make any goddamn sense. And what am I going to use an additional 200 Microsoft points on? Except maybe another Fallout 3 expansion later on.
Lame.
