GREAT TIMING, JULIE, YOU IDIOT

Lately I've gotten into the habit of going to the gym every day. I'm in pretty okay shape, but figured that I should get myself into good habits because I've never really exercised much (as a kid and as a teenager, I was always in chorus, theatre and piano lessons instead of soccer and gymnastics). Lucky for me, FSU has a fantastic gym that students can use for free. I've managed to go every day and work out for about 45 minutes or so.

Here's the concern: I LOATHE EXERCISE. Hate it hate it hate it hate it. Every time I go to the gym, I'm on the little elliptical bike, intently watching the clock and thinking AUGHHH ONLY TEN MORE MINUTES LEFT. AUUUUGHHHH ONLY NINE MINUTES AND 59 SECONDS LEFT. AUUUUGHHHH ONLY NINE MINUTES AND 58 SECONDS LEFT... I hate the feeling of being hot and sweaty; I hate t-shirts and sweat pants and sports bras; I hate being able to smell my own armpits even after putting on deodorant; etc, etc. It's a shame that I feel this way, but I find it agonizingly boring: I've tried to find ways to make working out more enjoyable: I always bring the Millennium Pod and I made a playlist of my jumpiest, most energizing songs. This makes it so that my workouts are efficient; doesn't make me like them too much more, though.

Anyway. It's 12:00p and I'm at the gym, on the little elliptical bike, intently watching the clock and thinking AUUUGHHHH ONLY ONE MORE MINUTE LEFT. AUUUUGHHHH ONLY FIFTY-NINE SECONDS LEFT. AAAAUUUGHHHH... finally, my workout is over and I start wiping the bike with the disenfectant Lysol wipe when all of a sudden BWOOP BWOOP BWOOP BWOOP! the intercom's alarm goes off. Everyone looks skyward (for some reason) as the intercom guy says "Attention students: a tornado warning has been issued for Leon county. Everyone is advised to stay indoors until the warning has been lifted."

Does that mean what I think it does? I wonder to myself, heart sinking; my fears are only confirmed when the managers are going around to everyone saying YOU ARENT ALLOWED OUT OF THIS BUILDING.

....

Do you guys understand the magnitude of this? I got LOCKED IN THE GYM for a little while. Out of all the places to get locked in, I got LOCKED IN THE GYM. There's a freaking ice cream parlor a half-mile away. I could'a chosen to get locked in there; but, noooo, I had to get LOCKED IN THE GYM! D:<
