I watched a little movie called Inglourious Basterds yesterday, and I wished to just express how much I enjoyed it. 'Enjoyed' may seem like a strange word for a film which contained a lot of death, but it was a movie, and it was meant to be entertaining. And it was entertaining.

So, firstly, for anyone who doesn't know, it's a film by Quentin Tarantino (naturally it's going be a bit twisted, no?). It follows several different stories that eventuall all meet up. Set in WWII, the Nazis are killing Jews and occupying France. Hitler delights in killing Jews. A renegade kind of group called the Inglourious Basterds do not like this Jew killing, and instead aim to kill all Nazis. Meanwhile, a Jewish girl whose family was murdered before her eyes plots revenge on the Nazis herself - but the Basterds do not know this, because they are plotting their own revenge. It basically all leads up to when the Nazis (including Hitler and all high ranking officers) are in the same room that these attacks come to a head. It stars Brad Pitt as the leader of the Basterds, as well as the now extremely infamous Bear Jew, who was my favourite character. Who is this 'Bear Jew'? He is part of the Basterds, and he kills Nazis with a baseball bat while looking hot doing it. Example of the Bear Jew below (this was the best quality I could find).

It's also awesome that he has the same dark/handsome looks as Zachary Quinto. Played by Eli Roth. Also, I loved that he just hated the Nazis so much - you could see it in his eyes when he was staring at Hitler at one point, and again whenever he confronts them. He's awesome. And his voice. It's different to what I expected from looking at him.
Anyway, I loved the film and would like to watch it again. I loved the humour and pacing, the setting and cinematography of it all. I also loved the plot developments and just. Everything.
