Twenty 1 - The Partay
This weekend was awesome. Shay was in, Ben and Becky came in. Krista was here. Zach hung around for a bit. Shay brought her friend John. It was a blast. I have enough leftover alcohol to kill 5 people and probably an equally lethal amount of cookie cake. And quite a few incriminating photographs! I'm sure there are some of me on these disposable cameras that I have yet to develop.
My cooking continues to improve. Krista and I made some chicken last night and added salsa on a whim. It ended up working out really well.
I'm the only one in my lab that's working 4 days this week. Since we're instilling the rats with titanium dioxide (and letting them run around for 24 hours afterwards), the surgeries are higher stakes with the time invested in the animals. Dum dum dummm.
I've started receiving secondary medical school applications, too. I've gotten one from OSU but not WVU, which worries me. I only applied to OSU for the heck of it and the cost of going there would be insane for an out-of-state student. It's $58,000 for WVU (out-of-state; something like $35,000 for us residents), so I don't even want to think what it'd be for OSU. C'mon, WVU!
I hope everyone has a lovely Independence Day with lots of ooh-ahh-worthy fireworks and delicious grillings. :)
