So the Ramrods are kicking off the soccer season with a few moral victories. No real victories yet, but maybe we'll have one or two :)
We started our mol cell lab experiment today. It's pretty neat stuff. We're looking at the effects of an ingredient in green tea (EGCG) on a particular protein produced by cancer cells. This protein allows the cells to digest the extracellular material on which they're sitting and float away into the rest of the body. Basically, metastasis.
Really cool stuff.
It's really getting to crunch time. This mol cell experiment. The (much much much much more boring) experiment in plant sys. A huge plant sys test coming up next week, which I have yet to start writing the essay for. Blarg. We gotta write this stupid essay, memorize it, and then re-write it for the test.
Next semester's potential schedule:
History of the Modern Middle East
Survey of Organisms
Survey of Organisms lab
Evolution
Science and Literature - Honors
Digital Photography (I really hope to get in this one...)
Biology of Cancer (I've resigned myself to it...)
After 12:30 tomorrow, we'll see how in tact that schedule remains.
