MMORPG - World of Warcraft given AIDS
The death of Nintendo?
Repetitive pill popping disco beats!
Okay, I've never been a fan of MMORPG's, mostly because if I want to build my skills in fishing or reading or fighting orcs with a level four longs sword, I DO IT IN REAL LIFE! Jeez. I've had many an acquaintance be consumed by the semi-appealing whims of MMORPG's before, and it's hard to get them off the junk. You could tell them they might OD or you could tell them they'll be distracted at their jobs and may lose them, but they wont believe you. You could tell them they could get AIDS, but again, those words will halt outside the castle walls of camelot. Now you really CAN get AIDS on one mmorpg, which one? World of Warcraft, of course!
An update by Blizzard (which we all know happens all too often) incorporated a new spell in which the effects are similar to a disease. The castor casts a blood rite, the infected runs around recieving much damage and spreads it to other people. Attack of the show had this to convey:
"Blizzard adds in a new instance, Zul'Gurub. Inside is the god of blood, Hakkar. Well, when you fight him he has a debuff called Corrputed Blood. It does like 250-350 damage to players and affects nearby players. The amazing thing is SOME PLAYERS have brought this disease (and it is a disease) back to the towns, outside of the instance. It starts spreading amongst the general population including npcs, who can out generate the damage. Some servers have gotten so bad that you can't go into the major cities without getting the plague (and anyone less than like level 50 nearly immediately die).
GM's even tried quarantining players in certain areas, but the players kept escaping the quarantine and infect other players."
So, the morale is, quit playing MMORPG's or you get the SUPER AIDS!

I have a theory about the state of Nintendo's business. After doing a bit of research on the gameboy and it's opponents in the business world (atari linx, sega game gear, etc.) and the enormous success the gameboy had regardless of it's black and white screen and dopey graphics, and then comparing it to today's gaming world, i've come to a few conclusions. 1: Gamers were much much much more loyal in the late 80s to mid 90's. If you owned a sega, you fought the other kids at school whom had SNES, and if you were like me and had a nes, game boy and SNES when you were a kid, you fought like hell with rolled up back issues of nintendo power against those wormy genesis kids with their missing teeth and lies. Well the flat truth is this: Nintendo DOMINATED the late 80s up to 1995 in the home entertainment system market and they didn't do it by JUST their sneaky businessman tactics, they did it with absolutely FUN games. Yes there were some shit heaps on the NES like "Spyhunter" and the awesome movie title of "Hudson Hawk" but even the average games on the Nintendo systems had some very redeeming valuse in GAMEPLAY! That's right, I'll say it, Nintendo had downright one care and that was making FUN games. They still do, for the most part (how the fuck is monkey ball fun?!), but the kids of the mid 90's (the one's with rich parents) grew up playing playstation and staring blankly at older gamers who spoke of such things as "Atari" and "Enny Ess?", which means their loyalty now lies towards that system. Or the saturn/dreamcast kids, whom are all locked away by the government (but they'll never catch me) since they never want to reveal the truth (that those systems existed with some really great games), but I digress. The point I was getting at was based on the handheld game market, which in my opinion, Nintentdo still controls ... for now ... Playstation is just a string of marketable games away from taking the throne that has been kept warm by Nintendo for the past decade plus, and the only way I can see Nintendo saving that throne is by doing the same thing theyve been doing. Having exclusive games wins the race. Resident Evil 4 is exclusive to the game cube which is phenominal on its own, let alone that the game cube has been lowered to 100 dollars for a high end system. Here's where it gets bogus.
Before the DS came out the GBA and the Game Cube were the same price. Which means you can get worse graphics and no power supply (just batteries that you have to buy) and worse control for the same price. Now the DS is out with minimal launch games but it's slowly getting more and more games and awesome gameplay. This is where death is eminant. The games are becoming more and more silly japanese titles. There's some sort of virtual pet game thats the best seller right now, which may give the execs at nintendo the wrong idea. I will NEVER pay money for a fucking Tamagachi rip off. I dont care how cute the graphics are or how in depth the gameplay is, it's a game where you play with a fucking dog. I CAN DO THAT IN REAL LIFE! I don't need to play that shit. The nails may be positioning themselves outside of the coffin of nintendo (which is made out of ataris for some reason.)

Here's the thing with techno as of late. Where is the evolution? I see a lot of shining stars in electronic music and pioneers here and there, but the fundamental thing with techno is doing something different. Why, then, are there still people putting 4/4's in their music? it's not like youre a shitty drummer and you cant manage to do a fill ... it's computers, and youre just uninspired. Hey, instead of making shitty techno to give World of Warcraft Super AIDS to my stereo, why don't you invent a time machine and go back to the 70's and tell people youre original. They might believe you!
