EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!

So... I just turned 30.

And since we were up, Teekachu and I decided to open presents... and since we were planning on doing "our" Christmas this weekend anyway, we just decided to open up the gifts we'd gotten for each other about 20 minutes ago.

Teeka put a lot of time and effort into thinking about what I'd like and she got me a bunch of really neat stuff! Like a George Foreman grill, a Homedics foot spa (along with promises to give me a foot massage later today!), an Airzooka with which to torment the cats, a walking/talking fox toy, and several fox-related shirts.

But she saved the best for last, of course: Apparently in the last couple months, Teeka commissioned Foxyfennec to create a picture that would be printed on a shirt to be given to me. On the back of the shirt is printed the lyrics to Nickel Creek's "The Fox".

Most of you won't know this, but Nickel Creek is one of my favorite groups. Their original Bluegrass music is just so... refreshing and different. And "The Fox" is easily my favorite of all their songs (especially when done as a live encore / medley at one of their concerts!) Teeka knows that whenever I'm grumpy or in a bad mood, all she has to do is put that song on and in no time I'm dancing a happy little foxy jig.

The picture that Foxy made, that is featured on the front of the shirt involves a family of foxes sitting around a table, with the Daddy fox cutting up a goose with a fork and a knife, and the little one chewing on the bone (-s-o, bones-o! Bones-o! They never had such a supper in their life, and the little ones chewed on the boooo-ooooones!)

Of course I immediately understood the reference. I was speechless and near to tears. I'm almost afraid to wear the shirt for fear of accidentally ruining it. (Can we buy another shirt, Foxy, just so I have an extra just-in-case?)

Thank you Teeka. Thank you Foxy. You've made me soooo indescribably happy!

(I'll leave it to Foxy to publish the picture online if she wants, because it's her absolutely awesome art, eh!)

Edit: Here's the journal entry where Foxyfennec posted the pic online.
