When Maffew and I were walking back to where we had locked our bikes while checking email in Eugene, we talked briefly about the cascade of emotions a bike rider goes through as he walks to the spot where his bike was parked. First, apprehension about whether the bike will be there or not.

Swung by Il'ya's shop today to pick up tires for José, and to look for a set of under-saddle water bottle cages for the Yamato. He didn't have the latter in stock.
4 October How Do You Like Them Apples?
Weekend report: Took the 20:00 Lucky Star up from NYC on Friday. I took the Lucky Star this time instead of the 風華 because jsoltren said that the Lucky Star doesn't give you any trouble for throwing a bicycle in the lower compartment, whereas 風華 has been known to charge extra.

So Sunday night I went to a concert with my parents. Before the concert, dinner.

First order of business: it's been a while since I've issued an official "bonus points" challenge to you, my readers, so I think it's about time for a new one. Bonus points will be issued to anyone who emails me with the message encoded in the above graphic by the end of this year (2005).
*There is an entry for 1 June, but this entry was entered after Bike and Build. I decided to use the entry that was actually posted during the month of June, since I haven't transcribed any of my B&B journal entries from July yet for great consistency.
I'll probably get a chance to recap the week this weekend. Don't count on it, though.
