... when you can't hold out much longer

Ok. So. I'm sleeping.

I actually just took a little micro-nap in the middle of that last sentence. Muscle relaxants aren't the best thing to swallow when you're at work.

I went to a rehab doctor yesterday who gave me some medicine to help with the problems I'm having with my back.

Good news: My tailbone has healed.
Bad news: It's crooked and now points to the front of my body instead of toward the back.
More bad news: When I fell, it strained the muscles and they've now made my spine straight instead of curved like it should be.
Good news: That can be fixed with physical therapy, massage, etc.
Bad news: I'm not supposed to do exercise other than physical therapy until the Dr. says otherwise
Good news: The Dr. will send a note to Healthworks so I don't have to pay for a membership I'm not using
Bad news: I'm not sure if this means I can't ride my new bike. At the very least, I'm sure it's not great to be lugging it up and down stairs to get in and out of the house and on and off the trail.
Good news: The muscle relaxant the Dr. gave me seems to help with the pain from the muscle spasms!

So... all in all, it's not a catastrophe, it could be worse, etc.

In other news: I got my check stub today indicating that my pay will be direct-deposited into my account tomorrow. Depending on how I finagle bills, I may be able to afford 1/2 of a car I want to buy. But I'm not excited. Excitement breeds disappointment. This is the latest endeavour in my ongoing saga to pull myself up by the bootstraps and turn my life around. Not to put too much drama into my otherwise un-noteworthy jobsearch or anything. ;)
