my night at the metal show
Went and saw the Black Dahlia Murder show friday night with Kiel and Metal Mike. Between the Burried and me, Cephalic Carnage and into the moat also played. Metal Mike and Kiel got in free since Mike knows Cephalic but only had a +1 on the guest list, so I missed into the moat....no big loss in my opinion. For some reason this line was the most stagnent I have ever encountered, into the moat were playing and they were just letting people in like 2 every 5 minutes it was retarded.
Anyway I got in when Cephalic was playing and had a rum and coke. Cephalic is pretty entertaining live, but I was still a little sluggish from the drive and the KB. Whe people got on stage and fell down the singer would rub his ass on their face, lol it was pretty classic. After they were done Kiel Mike and I went out back nd hung out with the guys in Cephalic and smoked some more KB, did alot of runnin around to get things.
Between the Burried and me came on and those guys fucken rock. They werent really displaying a whole lot of energy on the stage, but it was still cool. Not only that but one of their guitarists had a slipped disk in his spine so he had to play sitting down. After they were done we all went out back again and hung out with the bands some more. I gave the guy with a sliped disk kudos for playing with an injury and talked to him for a lil bit then started talking about robots with another guy in Cephalic because for some reason I was too fucked up to think of anything lucid to say.
We all just hung out for a while getting super stupid and having a good time. Black Dahlia finnaly came on sportin hawaiian shirts and throwin beach balls. Most everyone who crowd surfed landed on the concrete hard, serves them right HAHAHAAAAA. Black Dahlia is fucken awesome live, I wish I would have gone when they were with Unearth that would have been memorable.
After all the bands were done we just hung out with everybody for a couple hours. The guys from Cephalic are some down ass mother fuckers. I dont think I talked to any of the other guys from BtBaM except for the injured guy, but he got me in their little backstage room (wich was like a glorified closet) so I could get some gatorade.
The only guy I talked to in BDM was one of the guitarists (i dont know their names....sorry) me and Kiel blazed with him and he was fucken gone and just giggled the for an hour saying random shit, but then again so was I. All the other guys from BDM seemed a bit anti-social and they seemed to be bothered with all the partying goin on out there.
All in all it was a damn fun experiance and I smoked so much damn KB it was rediculouse. Most of the guys in those bands are pretty cool, The Black Dahlia Murder was the only band that seemed to be a bit egotistical...but maybe they were just havin a bad day. ah well anyway...sleep
