His way of apologizing is surprising me at my house with flowers. He hides money in my room because he knows I won't accept it if I have a choice. He keeps a bottle of water out of the fridge because he knows I don't like it cold. He tells his neighbors to be quiet because I'm sleeping. He covers the skylight because he knows the light will wake me up. He kisses me on the cheek every time before he sneeks out of his boat in the morning. He tries not to smoke around me because he knows I hate the smell.

If I'm smart I'll hold on tight.
