This morning I walked to the garden shop down the street and bought a larger pot for Jonny's plant, and a base for one of my other pots that I want to bring inside soon.
There are so many beautiful ceramics there, so many colors and sizes, and they are really sturdy too, and I want to buy a whole bunch! But they are like $45 a piece, at least. Almost all of our pots are just the cheapo boring terra cotta kind. Still, they are a step up from plastic (ick!).
I want to ask Lacey if she's made any pots, or is going to make any pots ... I'm not sure she will now that her ceramics class is over and she doesn't have a kiln, I guess.
Anyway, I came home and moved some plants around, which made me feel accomplished since I got my hands dirty :)
Unfortunately, a piece of Jonny's plant (I think it's a philodendron) broke off, but I think the few joints on it will be able to take root if I put it in water for awhile so they can grow a little bit more. His plant is a monstrous thing, growing in one long vine that stuck to the wall behind the bookcase ... we didn't realize it at first and pulled it off, along with some paint :0
He's been trying to get Linux installed on his computer, and it seems as though it's finally up and running. Hooray!
What else? Tonight I have three students instead of four, because one is sick. But the times haven't changed, which means I'm going to treat myself to Caribou Coffee in between the one family and the next. Not bad :) I lose money, but I get coffee and a break, heh.
It's a gorgeous day. I walked to the garden store, but I might also walk somewhere else before teaching.
