October!
Today, we:
got bagels at Einstein's on the way to church
went to church
went to the grocery store
went home and had lunch, did dishes, and grabbed a few things
went to S&J's house to dog-sit
took the puppy on a longish walk
had a Serious Talk
took a nap (truly, I did!)
and then Jonny left for a while and I puttered around online and made brownies and worked on editing a Mind Sprocket story. There's a series of four short detective stories that we're going to publish we-don't-know-when, but they are very engaging.
Now he's out watching the sequel to "Donnie Darko". It went straight to video, so I doubt I'm missing much. Once it got dark around 7:00 (geez!) I didn't feel like leaving the house. The seasonal drearies are setting in, I guess. I like the feeling of autumn when things get all spiced and cozy and warm-colored and busy, but I love love love when spring comes and everything feels alive and awake and the sun is up and the days are longer. Curtains blowing with the breeze, spring cleaning, walks without having to wear a bulky jacket, sitting outside after dark, windows open at night, leaves, flowers, driving with the windows down. mmm. That's for me.
Tomorrow, I have nothing to do but watch this dog. I brought along my sweater to work on and a book to read. And my laptop for editing things and doing some fun internet things.
Can't wait until Jonny comes back from the movie :)
