(no subject)
I just filled out the FAFSA and paid off a large credit card bill. I feel kind of nauseous.
Ah, but why was I filling out a FAFSA? Because because because I have a grad school interview (I keep wanting to call it an audition, hah!) at the end of this month. And I'm not going to school until the government tells me that I can finally get some money. I am hoping that now that I am living on my own and am poorer than ever, that I will qualify.
My credit card bill was large because I bought a new laptop. It's beautiful, completely plastic and cheap and light, but beautiful nonetheless, because it means that I can function in the online social world and whatnot. It's a Gateway, if anyone cares to know.
So I'm working as a proofreader, I went on a week long trip to West Virginia, and this weekend is the beach, and next weekend is a road trip with my sister, which si going to be awesome, because we are going to go to the PA Grand Canyon, which we have mentioned here and there for a long time now. One my life's dreams, realized! Huzzah!
I've also gotten permission from my dear landlords to get a guinea pig. Now, I've heard that they live better, happier, longer lives when they are in twos or threes, but I think I'll start out slow with one. I've been doing some reading up on them so that I can get this next one to live as long as possible. The longest living one that's recorded was 14 years, which is really amazing because they die between 3-5.
So. There's that, and there's too much else to say right now, except that Jonny is camping in the wilderness for a few days so I have to find ways to entertain myself and it feels not bad, but different. I might just defy tomorrow's workday and stay up late sewing.
