Movin' Right Along

Hello from Megabus. Specifically, I think we're about ten miles past Hartford. All I know for sure is that the guy in front of me is reclined far enough that I can just barely open my laptop sufficiently to see the screen. Awesome. I'd ask him to scoot up a bit but he's on the phone and doesn't seem to have any plans to change that. Sigh.

I'm on my way to the Garden State by way of NYC, to see Carrie. I also get to see Elina and Gregg this weekend, as well as Janessa, whose company happens to have a performance Monday night in the city. So that works out well. With the exception of Carrie, I haven't seen any of these folks in a few years, so it's nice to be able to do so. Oh, and how could I forget- my man Large is joining me Monday night as well. Good times.

This makes me think about how much I really dislike travel. I hate having to decide what smaller version of my stuff (thank you, George Carlin) I'll bring along. I hate the disruption of routine. I'm such a pain in the ass, eh?

Lucky me, after I get back Tuesday, I have two nights at home and then I leave for the cape with the De Veaus on Thursday. I won't unpack so much as rotate stuff. At least once a destin ation is reached, I have fun. It's the getting there part that I don't enjoy. For me, it is not the journey. Although I have to say, this bus ain't half bad.
