Weekends in Japan

Nov 15, 2008 15:06

Okay, so I'm in Japan, right. I'm in Japan sitting on my ass this weekend yet again because I am too lazy to do anything else. Okay, okay, I have a stomach ache, but that is no excuse! I need to do something. Next weekend I am going to Mt. Koya in Wakayama to stay overnight in a Buddhist temple, and then next Monday we are going leafing in Arashiyama, Kyoto, and then we are going to Kurama Onsen (north of Kyoto) the weekend after that. But this weekend, nothing. Well, maybe we will do something tomorrow, but who knows.

In other news, I have recently seen these movies instead of doing exploring!

-Memento, Big Fish, Marie-Antoinette, The Prince & Me, Sunshine, Koi no Mon, The Fly, Miss Pettigrew Lives For A Day, and The Fall. Here is your task one person who might read this! What movies do you suggest I watch? I thought most of these were okay, good, or excellent (Memento, Sunshine, and The Fall). I like thoughtful science fiction, cheesy romances, historical pieces, stuff with Jason Statham, Gerard Butler, Lee Pace, Robert Downey Jr, or Billy Crudup, and no stupid thrillers (stuff like Red Eye). I also like fantasy, but nothing too long. Oh, and I have watched the complete Second Season of Arrested Development for the thousandth time and it just keeps getting better.

On my To Watch list now:

There Will Be Blood, Stage Beauty, RocknRolla, Becoming Jane, The Machinist, Baby Mama, Ghost Town, and Children of Men. Oh, and I have Casino Royale on DVD and I need to watch that.

Any ideas? :D

Watchmen WILL BE bigger than TDK, fo' sho'. Plus, Dr. Manhattan = MasterCard Priceless commercials = Billy Crudup, so there is massive love there.
