Superheroes!
I went with Bethany (now known as rabbity_one and Leia to see Push today - we were supposed to go last night, but poor Bethany got sick so we went today instead. Well, it was excellent - there was a let-down of an ending (it just...ended), but Chris Evans and Cliff Curtis were both in Sunshine as well, and that ending was a total 180 from the rest of the movie. Oh, hey, we're watching Sunshine in 15 minutes. I doubt Bethany will like the ending, but for different reasons than why I try to forget how it messed with an almost perfect movie.
Anyway, besides the random non-ending and Camilla Belle's sub-par acting, it was really good. The actors (minus the one) were great, the plot was great, the FX were great. I was actually going to go to Hong Kong last November until I couldn't find anyone to go with me. It was only $300 for a flight from Osaka. Grrr... Anyway, I give it the thumbs up for people to watch it. It was excellent, and if more people see it, maybe they will do a sequel and actually end it! I'd pay to see it at the non crappy matinee theater if they promised to end it effectively.
