Solving Government Problems - A Proposal

So I was reading today that yet again members of the South Korean government have fought in session over something or another. When I say fought, I mean punches were thrown, tables were broken, people were knocked silly, etc. So it gives me an idea of how to solve the governmental crises of the United States...

Here is what we do. We make Congress like the NHL. Fighting is allowed, but you get a five minute major and you have to go sit in the penalty box afterwards. Each party has an enforcer or two, probably from a state like Alaska or Wyoming, states that don't really matter as much (sorry Alaska and Wyoming), and this is guy is paid simply to go into combat against the opposing party. Democrats and Republicans can't come to a consensus over immigration legislation? Time for the enforcers to deal with this!

The enforcers go in, wham bam, winner is victorious and his side gets the win for their side of the legislation. If it ends up a tie, all out brawl! All representatives fight. Congress would of course need to hire referees to keep things civil. Afterward people would get ejected from congress and they'd be suspended and fined, but their party would get such a morale boost from it all!

Like this will ever happen, just a suggestion.

This reminds me of this, though. I was there - HUGE hockey fight. Coaches fought, goalies fought, refs fought, the FANS fought. It was fucking sweet.

fight, hockey, suggestion, clip of the day, government
