You know why I love my job?  Well, okay, sure, there are lots of reasons, not least of which is that I get to read books and then talk about them with other people who love to read.

But really, I've come to discover, one reason I love my job so much is that I'm good at it.

i love that feeling of competence too. it feels really good to know that even if you are questioned by a patron-- you DO know what you are doing.

i say it all the time-- "i love my job, i just hate where i'm doing it." i'm in the midst of trying to relocate and finding a job where i'm relocating to has been difficult. but at least while i wait for something to be available, i can rest assured i love my job and i do it well.
