Dreamboat Annie

The dream, the seam, the broken string.
Last one left standing, strand of silver June pearls.
Dry hurricane twirls and twists behind those dry lying eyes,
Hold it all in, in a heart-like fist.
What one never knows, can never be missed,
What one's never tempted with, one can never resist.
Lifelong list, of knicks, dents, bends, and paper creases,
Storage unit, of broken glass pieces.
Hearts drawn with arms and legs, run away, disappear.
Nuclear family fungus puff, goes up in a tree,
To get away from the screaming.
Seeming contentment, unsent S.O.S. messages,
Constantly cleaned, perpetual mess.
Solitary rolling pin, model of
Unaligned traced paper drawings.
Unopened door, eternal clawing.
