spending my sunday shopping and a la piscine!

wow, i went to like five different places today ^^;;

first thing in the morning, i woke up to the noisy crashes of my dad moving the pingpong table to the porch (after procrastinating for two days =P)

after he left, i had to half-literally drag my mom out of bed to go to costco where we got a new microwave =] roman even came--there's a shocker o.o..prolly for the free samples tho XP

bought hot dogs outside costco and then went to barnes and nobles to buy a summer reading book, which made mom late for her dance class..=x

got home for about half an hour and then drove downtown with my dad to buy shoes. didn't see anything there i liked so we drove to Santana Row. oh my gosh, it's so pretty! =D the shopping center is so...magnificent^^ i wouldve taken pictures but i didn't have my camera with me =x
got lost for awhile and briefly entered a Borders...then finally found the shoe store =] then
sped home after that since i had to get to swimming sOon..or else i would done some window shopping X[

got home, changed, jumped in the car, and drove to cupertino..mom was freaking out when she thought she missed the exit..haha =P
i spent the first half-hour sitting by the pool reading Life of Pi..which is funny since a part of the book is centered around swimming..plus the main character's name is "piscine" which is french for swimming pool =P

then i went swimming =D i need to perfect my freestyle...my breast-stroke sucks..my back-stroke's ok..and i hate butterfly with a passion =.= i feel like a drowning idiot whenever i do butterfly >=P haha ne way..i didn't realize how much i missed the swimming days..altho i think chlorine has seeped into my brain..

haha..it was veery interesting..this morning, without even so much as opening Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince, the answer miraculously fell into my head and i figured out who the half-blood prince was, without any outside hints or help o.o haha..freaky..and i imagine it's a big spoiler for the plot >.<

im liking Life of Pi--the portrayal of religion plus all the animal analogies =]
haha..i love this passage talking about christianity:

What? Humanity sins but it's God's Son who pays the price? I tried to imagine Father saying to me, "Piscine, a lion slipped into the llama pen today and killed two llamas. Yesterday another one killed a black buck. Last week two of them ate the camel. The week before it was painted storks and grey herons. And who's to say for sure who snacked on our golden agouti? The situation has become intolerable. Something must be done. I have decided that the only way the lions can atone for their sins is if I feed you to them."

"Yes, Father, that would be the right and logical thing to do. Give me a moment to wash up."

"Hallelujah, my son."

"Hallelujah, Father."

don't you just love the sarcastic tone? =D
