BECAUSE I CAN
I have, in my quest to ignore my homework, WRITTEN A DRABBLE.
for ANIMORPHS because I am regressing to the ten-year-old I was when I first became utterly OBSESSED with this book series and I don't care what anyone says, it's still awesome.
(actually, this was my first attempt at writing something for the femgenfication which failed utterly because a) I couldn't find a good way to make a Rachel & Jordon bonding fic with Marco as a co-star without a better plot than I currently have, and b) I love Jordon crushing on Marco too much to make that go away and ANYWAY-)
here we go:
first (crush)
It starts when Jordan first sees Marco standing by the doors to the gymnasium, talking to Jake. It's her first day of high school, and she's kind of freaking out. Her hair's a mess -- it always is, it's just curly enough to be clumpy and it's this sort of dirty blonde, unlike Rachel, who of course has perfectly straight movie-star blonde hair -- and she's forgotten her planner. She had decided to be more organized this year, now that she was officially in high school, and had bought a sparkly blue planner to celebrate the occasion. And had promptly lost it, of course, which was a great start to the year.
So she's hovering just past the entrance to the school, staring at the planner-less-ness of her backpack in utter despair and dreading the rest of the day, when she looks up and sees her cousin Jake, who's talking to some other boy. Jake nods at her, and then the boy looks over and smiles, dimples in his cheeks showing beside white teeth, and he says, "Hey, you're Rachel's sister, aren't you?"
He has really pretty lashes, and he laughs at her story of the lost planner, and Jordon is lost.
seriously, Jordon crushing on Marco was like, one of my favorite parts of the series just because I really wanted to be her friend and have slumber parties and giggle about how I found him adorable too. :)
