Summer breeze makes me feel fine...
4 more days until my minne break to Florida.
I simply can not wait anymore! It's been over a year since I have seen my family and we've all been together. AND I get to see my darling little niece for the 1st time!!!!!
Her picture is all over my fridge here at home, but I’m dying to see her in person, to hold her, spend the entire weekend playing with her. It’s long overdue.
I’m going down for her 1yr Birthday Party. In the Cuban tradition, that is one of the biggest birthday’s you have… which I think is a shame, because you’re too young to remember it. However Tyson decided that since he lives in Miami, he feels obligated to keep the traditions. To which I replied, “Tyson you live in Miami Lakes, not the city, its more white bread, then Cuban”. But it’s what his wife wants and as I’m sure most men would agree, it’s hard to say no to your wife.
Not that I’m complaining, who wouldn’t want to go to a fabulous party, with all your friends and family together? Plenty of food, drinks, cigars, music, laughs…. The ultimate highlight for myself… meeting Amanda’s side of the family. My brother Eddie tells me about them all the time, and let’s just say he doesn’t have the nicest things to say, although what he does say is pretty damn funny, so if anything it should be an amusing afternoon as well. My game plan, grab a glass of wine, sit poolside with my fam and observe the shenanigans from afar.
In other news
Two day's after I get back from my trip, It will be the NH Theatre Awards. Pretty exciting because this year I get to be the Theatre Awards Hostess. This means that I’m on stage all night passing out awards to the winners. So it’s kinda a cool gig. I’m just excited because I get to buy a fabulous dress and strut my stuff all night! PLUS Children of a Lesser God is up for 3 Top Ten Nominations. One of which is for Best Actress, ME!!! So we’ll see what happens.
Still haven’t gone shopping for a dress though… Yikes, need to get that done this weekend, before I leave!!
