So, I went with my parents and Amber to see the Foo Fighters at the Forum on Wednesday night.
Life. Changing. Experience. F'real, bitches.
It was amazing. Seriously, just stellar. They rocked so hard. Serj Tankian was pretty good (though insane) and Against Me! were great. But the Foos? Holyyy shit, guys. I was blown away. Constant succession of fabulosity. Walkway that leads to a stage in the middle of the floor that drops from the ceiling? Stories about band members' first concerts at the Forum? Dave doing Everlong solo acoustic with ever single girl in the audience singing along like a choir in church (which is somewhat accurate, all things considered)? Hell to the motherfucking yes.
Dave Grohl is also hilarious. Hilarious, I say. Also, my mom had a crush on Taylor, lol.
It was so great, though. This was their homecoming show. In 13 years of being a band, this was their first time playing the Forum and they sold the bitch out. It was packed. Not an empty seat to be found.
Oh. And I must mention the special guest appearance. Stewart Copeland of the Police came out and played drums for a song and it was just insaaaane.
I nearly lost my voice at the show. I've never lost my voice at a show, not even when I saw MCR whilst developing bronchitis. Yeah.
I wanna go again! Mom said next time, she's buying floor tickets on Ebay if she has to, she doesn't care how much they cost. :-)
