Team 2nd Floor Higgins
Friday night was my first program and much to my suprise I was able to get a team together. When I picked my Welcome Week program I failed to realize that it was on the first friday night in Cortland. My bad. Anyway.. it was called Most of the Nighter, located in the fieldhouse that we have on campus. They had a bunch of activities going on there, including a Melon Ball tourney. So, me, Lynsey, Lisa, Jacob, Dave, TJ, and Aaron went as a team and we kicked some serious ass. After the first round we came in second place and after the second round we came in third. It was five hours of intense Melon Ball in an extremely hot and stuffy fieldhouse. The most exciting part is that I actually played and that I actually played well. Those games that we won in the first round were the first games I've ever won while actually participating in a sport. That's a big deal for me. It was crazy amounts of fun. We got back to the building a little after 1 and then I played some spades with the guys in the guys suite. I got back to my room a little before 3. All in all , it was a really good night and I got to bond with some of the people on my floor. I really really like most of them.
Last night Lauren and I nightclerked and Jacob, Dave, Stephen and Mike came down to hang out with us and that was a lot of fun too. So I'm happier with this whole RA thing because my residents are all pretty awesome.
But i miss you.
