Yeah 185 is currently screwed. Let Demian Maia get a few more fights under his belt though and we'll have a believable challenger on our hands. So that's 2 years from now. In the meantime I guess Anderson really wants to box Roy Jones jr.

Not helpful, I know. I think Okami will gte the next shot, though. Silva really wants to fight him since Yushin won that DQ over Anderson a while back (illegal upkick while Okami's knees were down) and Anderson always felt it was a cop out on Okami's part to win that way.

Okami also did have that Kimura on Franklin in the 3rd round of their fight. While Franklin won the decision he was looking beat at the end of it, so I can see thyem giving Okami a couple of cans and then having him face Silva.

Or the UFC may be able to offer Denis Kang (please...God?) enough money to make Kang get over his "must compete once a year in Korea" thing.

185 is in weird shape right now to be sure. Franklin and Marquardt haven't fought either, though so I don't know if can say that Rich is able to beat everyone other than Anderson, I think Nate the Great would be the favorite if he fought Ace. Nor would I pick Rich over Hendo, no way.

But anyway, the hopefuls in the nearish future are um...Bisping? Quarry, who is obviously far better than when he fought Franklin, and that is his only UFC loss, the best challenger at present, though, is Ricardo Almeida. And finally, if and only if, he can beat Marquardt, Thales Leites would be in line for a shot I'd have to think.
