What do people talk about during meals with their family? I never have anything interesting to say. This is why I liked living alone. No conversation necessary.
Oh, mostly boxofspirits and I talk about my day at work, what's been going on in Warcraft, and various and sundry MMA stuff. Or movies, or books, or whatever else.
Growing up, we had a small television in our dining room and we'd watch Jeopardy at the same time as dinner, so our family dinners would be one half "How was your day dear" and one half "S Words for 1000, Alex". :)
We talked about what we'd done that day, if we had plans for the evening, what was going on the rest of the week, what we were doing for the weekend, work, school, politics, current events, random stuff. My family is really chatty though, so its easy for us.
Barry & I are quiet when we eat, but after supper we talk about our day, the news, guns, MMA, hockey, future plans, etc etc.
A different sort of chitchat. I never say much anyway but when I do, it's limited to what I know - martial arts, and school. I need to be back in the northeast where sarcasm, condescending attitudes, and being an ass to people that deserve it is not only accepted but encouraged.
