What an interesting verse this is. I like all these different ways of exploring what it would be like if Sylar ended up working with Mohinder and friends. What I like here is that you have Sylar quite clearly existing as his own entity within this larger picture. That is, he's helping them out (amused and having fun with their admission of needing his help) for his own purposes but he is also fully aware that he can't trust them, that they're looking out for him/working with him will only last as long as the need him. It makes for a fascinating type of alliance.

Love the mentions of him increasingly having these very specific thoughts about Mohinder and acting on that for couple of reasons. The obvious is that it's something that he wants. The added bonus is the reaction he gets from Mohinder which makes it all the more worth it especially when trying to kill some time.

You're pretty clear about the mindfuck aspect of what Sylar's doing but I also like that there's this hint of appreciation upon Sylar realizing that there's this part of Mohinder that is, underneath a defiant resolve, liking it...the teasing comment that Mohinder never said he didn't like it, the faint blush at Sylar leaning into him and commenting about the door and then asking him what he's daydreaming about.

Basically I like that what's happening here is working on two levels and that as the story goes on that second, suggested, layer becomes more enhanced, more undeniable.

A taunting tease that is actually based in a truth and manages to anchor itself to a truth.
