(no subject)
Last Sunday the Cirque del Jungle Dreams came to the Carlson Center. I had a blast working a 17 hr shift setting up, watching the show, and tearing it down. I also learned more about lighting, and I sang a Happy Birthday trio for their sound guy. That was pretty cool.
Last Friday (case day) we had Blackalicious Friday here at the Stargazer. We ate corn bread and fried chicken, as well as drank purple drink and 40's. We watched The Boondocks and danced to some gangsta rap! It was the shiznit!
Halfass (aka Craig) has been promoted to Janitorial Supervisor (which is silly because he was working Conversions, Techie, and Video crews-->not janitorial). That's cool. He fully starts that Monday (tomorrow). Awesome for him!
I also am getting a promotion to Maintenance Lead but not until July. Right now I'm in training, but they game me a 20xA key. It opens all of the less-important doors in the building. It's a start. I'm pretty excited for July.
Oh yeah, and another reason I'm super excited for July is that I'll probably be camping/partying it up for the 4th of July with all of the cool people I work with. Fucking sweeeeeeet!
Matt still doesn't have a job yet. He's waiting for Computer Cache to call. Money's getting really tight. It's been almost two months. *deep sigh*
Lissy and Brian are expected to arrive sometime around the first week of May. That will be especially exciting!
I hear Spencer has an apartment, roommates, a job, and a girlfriend. Well done sir!
Dagan has yet to fill me in on any details, but I do have proof he is still alive.
