January Update

Let's see....

We sent Samantha to Ecuador for a study abroad semester, that's probably the biggest thing that happened in January! She celebrated her 21st birthday there.

She was recently diagnosed with a fructose allergy, so now she has a reason for refusing nearly all drinks except for water and milk. Although! She had two sips of alcohol; some rum and some limoncello, and she didn't care for either of them.

Christmas was fairly low key; my family visited us for an afternoon in December. Samantha, Piper, and I visited my dad in the nursing home for about 20 minutes before he rolled away to go play Bingo. Fortunately we weren't JUST there to see him; we also went to the fancy mall in West Des Moines to visit the Lego store and other hotspots.

Someone convicted  of 34 felonies is the president of the U.S. again, which is terrible, but this time around it's so hard to do want to do anything about it. This is what people wanted, I guess!

It was brutally cold yesterday; something like 30 below windchill. ICCSD and Lone Tree were both closed but Kirkwood remained open.

I'm sure I have more I should be saying but I can't think what it is. Sorry, Rachel, my only consistent reader.
