Piper P-T conferences junior year first tri

Piper's teachers all seem to love her; of course they would, she does the work and does well. She's also pretty humble, apparently.

"Your Spanish teacher says you're one of the top 5 students in all his AP classes."
"That's because no one does the work."

Her AP Bio teacher said she's a "rock star."

Her AP Pre-calc honors (too many adjectives) said she'd be sad if Piper ever left her; she "doesn't ask a lot of questions but she doesn't seem to need to."

These conferences were held in the cafeteria for the first time since 2019; we had been attending via Zoom. I saw some of the other kids' teachers. Rachel's psych teacher, Mr. Henderson was glad to hear she's doing well; Samantha's chemistry teacher, Ms Bildner, somehow recognized me even though Samantha took chemistry on zoom in her 11th grade year and I never saw her in person. Also happy to hear Samantha is doing well, although started to tell me that she has a grad student from Cornell...since people never seem to get "Grinnell" and "Cornell" right.

My favorite Piper comment was from her AP World Lit teacher, who said, "What I love about Piper is that she just sits there, in her quiet way, and kicks ass."
