politics and politics and politics....of the week

learned a lot about human interaction this week.

while i was actually doing what i'm paid to do i found some pretty all right lookin pottery. some type of owasco cord-impressed. 500 ad. probably.

my two roommates were out of town for a long weekend. i briefly had 2 cats, a dog and a leopard gecko. the dog is a sweetheart and we had lunch in new paltz yesterday together, along with whitney fratello who got a tattoo shortly thereafter. the harvest cafe has a dog menu. 1st course: milkbone. 2nd course: a piece of chicken or beef. 3rd course: milkbone. now... this is one of the most ridiculous things i have ever seen. my good friend who happened to be hostessing hooked us up with milkbones and water and a cheese platter and a belgium double blond.

missed the rosendale street fair.

dislocated my left thumb and had to set it back in. pretty painful. wrapped up it feels great. unwrapped it feels like death.

saw the amazing kabul palace treasures exhibit at the met(ropoloitan museum of art). not sure why it was there and not at the natural history. money talks i guess. bronze aged gold everythings. indian influenced/looking ivory carvings. roman bologna. all litter on the silk road i guess. no seriously, go see it. and also look at the dead shark in a tank of formaldehyde in the next room. the piece is called something like 'the imagination of death in the eyes of someone not yet living'.
